NFLthoughts on braintrauma from a brain injury patient
So juniour Seau killed himself lead toself & many believe its due to the brain trauma he suffered over his NFL career. So how does this relate to me? on AUGUST23,2009 I SUFFERED FROM A BRAINEURYSM so i myself are a brain injury patient& i will relate what i learned to my fellow readers & give some thoughts on what the NFL should do to curb the problem! now the first thing they do after you suffer a brain injury is start you on a maintence program of anti depressants because they have found that insults to the brain can lead to depression issues, but even after a massive insult to the brain as i suffered to the brain followed by 6 weeks in a coma a person myself can cognitavely recover back to live a normal life so how does this relate to brain trauma suffered by NFL players they suffere there insults to the brain from the high level impact that happens in there game which they play on there own free will& also are paid handsomly for they suffer from coo contra coo ( basicly the internal banging of the brain against the skull on impact of tavkles now in my opinion what the NFL should due to curtail this depression problem due to the brain insults suffered during game play.
#1 the NFL should implement yearly neuro psych test its the first thing they usually due when u awake from a coma to why do i think this should be implemented because if you see a players results slowly declining they could be warned of impending loss of cognitive funtion & depression
#2 maintence anti depressants & psycological visits i know this can't be enforced, but after these guys see how a shrink can help them with there emotional problems this could lead to less problems mentaly amongst the retired NFL community. maybe teams should start employing neuropsycologist @team headquarters who have open door policys could cut down & nip this problem in the butt before it gets out of control
now onto our final thought: these NFL players filing lawsuits against the NFL is hypocritical on there part they knew what they signed up for when they were depositing those million dollar checks in the banks nobody forces these guys to play this game & like ocho stinnko said if you dont like watching it cause its violent go fishing with your kids insted
now what the NFL's responsabilities should be in this is employ a neurologist& a neuropsycologist to and how about a monitor players status's up until they retire then have a retired players suppot group?
